Greedy Invalid - Biography
Biography
The band was formed in the autumn of 1994. They recorded 3 demos over a period of 6 years. The early period was marked by the search for one's own musical face, gathering experience and frequent changes in the line-up. This effort was crowned in 2002 with the first success - the debut CD Lost Letter moving to the interface of doom metal and rock.
After further changes in the line-up, the second CD Meaning of Life will be released in July 2005. Compared to the previous act, acoustic guitars are also getting the word out, the band is playing with moods and trying to build songs on strong choruses. The first clip is being shot and GI goes around the classic "promo wheel" on Czech radio and TV. The first major Greedy Invalid club tour is also taking place.
At the beginning of 2007, a CD called Dancing Little Flames was created in GM's Jablunkov studio. The set was supplemented by a reinforcement in the form of a keyboard player, which, after several years of absence, was again fully included in the set. The change of studio has greatly benefited the recording, and the CD more than ever faithfully captures the distinctive expression of speech that GI has been working on for so many years.
At EP A Distant World, Greedy showed a new direction they will take - tuned guitars and experimentation with the Czech language in lyrics. This two-song promo foreshadows the album Anna (2010), which combines rock ferocity with gothic gloom. The walls of electric guitars are broken by the romantic mood of the piano and the longing tone of the cello. The band presents three songs in Czech on the CD.
2013 is a balancing period, Greedy issued a CD called The End and depart on a club tour Sindicate to listeners probes from either yet rendered a band with a new and reinforcements in the best form. The group's website is regularly updated and is close to 92,000 unique entries.
